Usually yes. These machines are built for duty and parts are widely available, which keeps repair costs reasonable relative to what you get back. The exception is an expensive electronic control on a unit that is worn elsewhere, and we will say so plainly if that is where you are.
Not always. A blocked pump filter, a sock caught in the drain hose, a kinked outlet behind the machine and a failed pump all produce the same standing water. We check the simple causes before selling you a pump, and if the pump has genuinely failed we usually have one on the truck.

If your appliance is still inside a manufacturer warranty period, the authorized route may serve you better.
Not necessarily. Loud banging is often an unbalanced load or worn suspension rods rather than a dead machine. A deep grinding that gets worse under load points at drum bearings, which is a bigger job. We will tell you what it costs and whether that machine justifies it before you commit.
