Dryer Repair
Dryer Repair Across Los Angeles
A dryer that tumbles without heat, or takes three cycles to dry one load, is telling you something specific. We read it properly and fix the cause rather than the symptom.
Mobile service · Built-in specialists · Upfront pricing
Long dry times are the most common complaint we hear and the most commonly misdiagnosed. A dryer that needs two cycles is rarely broken the way people assume. More often the airflow path is restricted, so the machine heats correctly but cannot carry the moisture out of the drum.
ApexPro works on gas and electric dryers, freestanding and stacked. We check the heat source, the safety thermostats and the venting as one system, because on a dryer they fail as one system. That same restriction is why a dryer runs hot enough to trip a thermal fuse, which is worth catching early.
Signs It Is Time to Call
- The drum turns but the clothes come out cold and damp
- One load now takes two or three cycles to dry
- The dryer shuts itself off partway through the cycle
- The drum will not turn at all, or squeals loudly when it does
- The cabinet or the laundry room gets unusually hot
- There is a scorched or burning smell during the cycle
Why ApexPro
Why Homeowners Call Us for Dryer Repair
Gas and Electric
Igniters, gas valve coils and flame sensors on gas units; elements, thermostats and thermal fuses on electric.
Airflow Diagnosed, Not Guessed
We find the real restriction in the vent path, because that is what causes both long dry times and repeat fuse failures.
Stacked Closet Units
LG and Samsung stacked pairs in narrow closets are everyday work, including safely accessing the unit above.
Safety Taken Seriously
A dryer running hot behind a restricted vent is a fire risk. If we find that, you will hear about it plainly.
How it works
A Repair Without the Guesswork
- Step 1
Describe What It Does
Gas or electric, the brand, and whether it heats, tumbles or shuts off early. That usually points at the circuit before we arrive.
- Step 2
We Come to You
Same-day and next-day appointments across LA, with igniters, thermal fuses, belts and rollers on the truck.
- Step 3
Diagnosis and Upfront Price
We test the heat circuit, the thermostats, the motor and the airflow, then explain what failed and what it costs to repair.
- Step 4
Repair and Heat Verification
We finish on site where parts allow, then run the dryer and confirm it is producing and holding proper heat before we go.

Questions
Answers Before You Pick Up the Phone
On an electric dryer it is most often a failed heating element or a blown thermal fuse; on a gas dryer it is usually the igniter or the gas valve coils. The important part is what caused it. A thermal fuse blows because the dryer overheated, and it will blow again unless the restricted airflow behind it is dealt with too.
Almost always restricted airflow. Lint accumulates through the vent run, at the wall termination and inside the machine itself, and once the moist air cannot get out the clothes stay damp no matter how well the dryer heats. It is worth fixing quickly, because the same restriction makes the dryer run hotter than it was designed to.
Yes. Gas dryers are routine work for us, including igniters, flame sensors, gas valve coils and the high-limit thermostats that protect them. We test the ignition sequence rather than swapping parts until the heat comes back.
Usually yes. A squeal is normally drum rollers, an idler pulley or a worn belt, all inexpensive parts, and catching it early keeps the drum and shaft from wearing. If we find damage beyond that we will tell you honestly what the full repair costs so you can decide.
Same-day slots are available across Los Angeles on a first come, first served basis, and next-day is usually easy to arrange. Call (323) 740-2901 for the earliest realistic window.
